What are Clinical Drug Trials ?

Cinical trials are research studies being conducted to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new medications NOT yet available to the public. Drug trials adhere to the strict regulatory guide lines set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Patient enrollment is completely voluntary and is free of charge to all research participants

What can I expect when enrolling in a Clinical Drug Trial?

Your participation begins after a complete evaluation and diagnosis made by the research physician. You will receive a comprehensive physical examination, close medical monitoring, laboratory and diagnostic evaluations, all at NO cost to you.You will receive a full disclosure of the risks and benefits involved. You will have the opportunity to review clinical drug trial information and ask questions before you sign the consent form for the research study.During the trial, you will be scheduled for regular clinical follow-up visits. At that time, you will meet with the research physician who will monitor and evaluate your progress. You will not be expected to continue in the clinical drug trial if you experience any adverse side effects. Remember, your participation in the clinical drug trial is completely voluntary.
